Terms of use
Last updated
In short
- A licence is a one-time payment for one Mac at a time, and includes every future update.
- There is no free trial: you buy a licence to use the app. No account is needed.
- Dodo Payments sells the licence as merchant of record and handles payment, tax and invoices.
- Purchases are final, except where the law says otherwise and for billing errors.
The agreement
Orcylo is made by MerdoAI (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By downloading, installing or using Orcylo, you accept them. If you use Orcylo for a company, you accept them on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
No free trial
Orcylo has no free trial. Without an active licence, the main window and the menu bar dropdown ask for a licence key; the menu bar readouts keep working. Before you buy, the home page and the guides show what Orcylo does, and you can email us with any question.
Your licence
When you buy Orcylo, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it. Each licence activates Orcylo on one Mac at a time. To move it, deactivate it on the old Mac in Settings → License and enter the key on the new one, or email support@orcylo.app if that Mac is gone. For more Macs, buy more licences.
- One payment. There is no subscription.
- Lifetime updates. Every update we release for Orcylo is included at no extra cost. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product: we cannot promise to develop Orcylo forever, but we will not charge you again for updates to it.
- Licence checks. Orcylo activates the key online and re-checks it about once a week. It keeps working offline for 30 days after the last successful check, and being offline never removes a licence. A key that has been disabled, for example after a chargeback or a refund, stops working.
You may not:
- share, sell or publish your licence key, or use one licence on more Macs than it allows;
- remove or work around the trial or licence checks;
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer Orcylo, except as far as the law expressly allows it despite this limit;
- rent, resell or redistribute Orcylo.
Buying
Orcylo is sold through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo Payments is the seller in the checkout: it takes the payment, applies sales tax or VAT where it is due, and issues your receipt and invoice. Its own buyer terms apply to the checkout. Your licence key is shown after payment and sent to you by email.
Prices are in euros and shown at checkout, where tax is added if your country requires it. The launch prices are €5 for the first 20 licences, then €7.50 for the next 30, then €9.99. Each step applies only until its licences are sold. We may change the price for future purchases; it never changes what you have already bought.
Refunds
Purchases are final and we do not offer refunds. This does not limit any right to a refund or to cancel that the law where you live gives you, and billing errors such as a duplicate charge are always corrected. The details are in the refund policy.
Using Orcylo on your Mac
Orcylo can quit, force quit or stop apps, processes and dev servers, and it always asks you to confirm first. Quitting an app this way can lose unsaved work, so check before you confirm. Brightness, volume and other settings that Orcylo changes are changed at your request.
The figures Orcylo shows (temperatures, power, AI tool limits and usage, visitors, revenue and search data) come from macOS, from the files and tools on your Mac and from the services you connect. They are for your information and may be delayed, estimated or incomplete; do not rely on them for anything critical.
Services you connect
The Analytics tab works with services such as Plausible, Umami, DataFast, Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Dodo Payments and Google, using keys or sign-ins you provide. You are responsible for those accounts and keys and for following each service’s terms. We do not run these services and are not responsible for them. How Orcylo handles their data is described in the privacy policy.
No warranty
Orcylo is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including that the app is fit for a particular purpose, free of errors, or will run without interruption. Your rights as a consumer under the law where you live are not affected.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as lost data, lost profits or business interruption, arising from your use of Orcylo. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending the licence
You can stop using Orcylo at any time. If you break these terms, your licence ends and the key may be disabled. The sections on warranty, liability and governing law still apply afterwards.
Trademarks
Mac, macOS and Apple silicon are trademarks of Apple Inc. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini and the other products named on this site belong to their owners. Orcylo is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes go to the competent courts of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim there.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not take away what you have already bought.
